Hey, I'm Elise!

I've always been drawn to psychology and technology, I just didn't know what to call it until I found Cognitive Science. That led me from studying Computer Science in community college to getting my bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science with a Specialization in Computing at UCLA, then to Carnegie Mellon for my master's in HCI.

At my core, I love helping people feel more comfortable with technology. Whether it’s sharing a useful tool, teaching a shortcut, or showing someone a workflow that makes their day easier, I enjoy helping people realize that technology doesn’t have to be intimidating.

That same passion is what draws me to product management. I feel most alive in the messy, collaborative space where you don’t yet know what you’re building, but you know there’s a real problem worth solving. I want to build products that matter to real people. What I bring to that journey is curiosity, empathy, transparency, and a willingness to go above and beyond. I show up fully, learn quickly, and care deeply about creating work that makes a meaningful impact.

Hey, I'm Elise!

Fascinated by how people think and interact with technology, I sit at the intersection of cognitive psychology and product strategy. My journey started at UCLA, where I studied Cognitive Science, and led me to Carnegie Mellon to earn my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction. I believe that thoughtful product decisions can turn dense, complex technical systems into simple, intuitive human experiences.

Over the past year at CMU, I’ve applied this philosophy to diverse domains, from designing user interfaces for semi-autonomous vehicles to architecting an AI-powered inventory system for a local nonprofit. These experiences solidified my passion for leading cross-functional teams and solving ambiguous problems alongside people with diverse perspectives.

I bring this collaborative, outcome-driven mindset to Product Management. As an aspiring Associate Product Manager, I’m looking to join a team that prioritizes continuous learning, deep customer empathy, and building products that genuinely empower users.

Live music

Live music makes me feel more alive than almost anything else. My favorite tradition is Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park every August. What started as tagging along with my older brother turned into my own annual ritual. I go for the artists, stay for the garlic noodles, and leave with a new trucker hat and a poster I keep up on my wall.

I grew up in Moraga, a small town tucked into the East Bay hills. Green hills, perfect weather, sunsets that genuinely never get old. Pittsburgh has taught me to appreciate all of it a lot more.

Foodie at heart!

I'm a serious foodie. The kind who researches the menu before making a reservation and remembers meals long after the trip is over. For me, food is the fastest way into a culture. New city, new cuisine, always a yes.
